Summary

This website, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, provides information and access to a wide range of numerous resources to support response to intervention (RtI). The Center defines RtI as integrating assessment and intervention within a multi-level prevention system to maximize student achievement and to reduce behavior problems. With RtI, schools identify students at risk for poor learning outcomes, monitor student progress, provide evidence-based interventions and adjust the intensity and nature of those interventions depending on a student’s responsiveness, and identify students with learning disabilities. The website provides access to documents, guidebooks, manuals, slides, videoclips and Web links related to tiered instruction, models of RtI, secondary school, screening tools, progress monitoring, early intervention services, learning disabilities identification, behavioral interventions, cultural and linguistic diversity, implementation planning and evaluation, funding, literacy, math, and materials for families, teachers, and administrators. The website provides findings from the Center’s technical review of screening tools, and progress monitoring tools for reading and math. Webinars with supporting handouts and slides are available, as are training modules on the use of Curriculum Based Measurement. A searchable database enables users to find resources developed by specific states.
